White Shadow is a multi gaming clan established in 2007 on Starcraft I with the intention of providing an organized, social, honest, and fun community for our members. Bound by a strict code of ethics and driven by a strong sense of loyalty, our clan consists of dedicated members who have been gaming with each other on a daily basis anywhere from one to eight years. We value loyalty and integrity above all else, and do not compromise our values. Do you have what it takes to join our ranks?
If you are interested in joining, we would like know you a little better, as well as explain the basics of Clan White Shadow. After registering, it is highly recommended to finish reading this full page as it will explain how to become a full member, apply for teams, and help you locate the information you need with hyperlinks. you will also need to read threads under the Information Center on the Forums. These threads go into detail on clan rules for every game. The Events tab shows all of our scheduled events in Eastern time by default, which may be changed to your own time zone once you set it on your profile. Be aware that new members are subject to being removed from our clan by any officer for little or no reasoning at any time, so please be mature!

The Code of Ethics applies at all times. Your fellow clan mates will judge you by your behavior and loyalty. Your actions can be interpreted by others as a representation of White Shadow, so represent us well. Violation will result in swift and severe punishment, up to a permanent ban from White Shadow. If you would like clarification, contact an officer.

2.A: Website registration is required to be considered a member and receive invitations into any of our clans or guilds. 2.B: Tags** are to be worn at all times within games that offer free name changes. 2.C: You may not join another clan or guild while being a member of White Shadow*** 2.D: Do not withdraw characters from our clans, guilds or other groups. 2.E: Do not advertise, glorify or otherwise promote another gaming group.
*Additional rules for each program are listed under the Information tab and are to be read immediately.
**A clan tag is a marking inserted before your name that denotes loyalty to White Shadow. Tags are often worn in games that do not support integrated clan systems, such as Steam and Starcraft I. examples: [WS]Behemoth, ws-Behemoth. Contact Behemoth to make sure you use the correct tag for each game.
***MMO Clause: Within designated MMO games, members may be allowed to be a part of another guild as a preexisting condition. It is encouraged that all characters are moved into our guild as soon as possible. Having loyalties to another gaming group is highly discouraged and may easily result in a denied application. Any activity that differs from what was originally stated in an application, or any other type of interference with White Shadow will result in an immediate ban. Other than your original application, we do not want to hear about your "other guild".
Discord We use Discord for communication on every game we play, and members will be found on our server every day. In order to join the Discord server you may ask any clan officer for a link. Your Discord and website IDs must always match. Further information is available under the forums Here.
Officers Any clan officer can assist you in properly joining our community or answering any questions you may have. Once registered on the website an officer can invite you into our clan/guild on the game you would like to play, and help you in completing your full membership status. A member ranked White Shade, Shadow, or White Shadow has officer status. They will appear at the top of the member list on the website as well as on Discord.
In-Game Activity logging into a game does not necessarily make you an active member. Using Discord is strongly encouraged. In addition to playing with other members, greeting and speaking with other members in Discord, game channels and clan messaging is important for making yourself known within the clan, and is necessary to advance your rank. Keep in mind: the Code of Ethics applies at all times. Your fellow clan mates will judge you by your behavior and loyalty. Your actions can be interpreted by others as a representation of White Shadow, so represent us well. Violation will result in swift and severe punishment, up to a permanent ban from White Shadow. If you would like clarification, contact an officer.
The Website After registration, one of the first things you will want to do is post an introduction under the proper thread. It is required for all members to be registered on our website to advance beyond Trial status. The reason for this is that we are a multigaming clan spread across multiple games and programs. This website serves as our central hub of information, linking us all together. If you are applying to join a specific team, applications are located under the Forms tab. It is a good idea to mention other games you play (or have an interest in playing) to the officer that recruited you as soon as possible. This information will allow for easy confirmation of your identity, allowing officers you might not be familiar with to accept you into clan systems and channels on other games. It is not expected for members to post on the website on a daily basis, but make sure to check it often The website holds important long term information such as the Code of Ethics, the clan custom icon (for HoN), code of raiding, as well as a wealth of information about this clan's past.
Becoming a Full Member
Registering on our website is just the first step in joining the clan. To become a full member, you will need to apply for full membership, then complete a list of simple tasks to help make yourself known within the clan. All steps must be properly and correctly completed, your application will not be accepted until any mistakes have been fixed. This can easily be completed the day you join, and you are welcome to ask an officer for help.
If you have any issues with our Code of Ethics, this is not the group for you. All additional clan rules are found under the Information Center on the forums. Specific game rules are located under their correlating subforum. You are expected to know and follow them at all times.
2. My website username is unique, does not contain symbols or alt codes, and is not my first name.
This is pretty simple. We have a lot of members, and several of them share the same first name. While we prefer to go by first name, please don't use your name as your ID to avoid any confusion. If you need to change your website ID, click on your profile at the top right. Once you're on your profile page, go to About Me, then edit your profile information.
3. My Discord ID matches my website ID.
After completing step 2, head to the home page of the website. You will notice we have a Discord module that will display who is online. In order to join in, you must request a link from any officer. Once you have joined, you must set your name to match your website name. you will remain a Trial/Guest in the clan until you have completed this step.
To reinterate, your Discord name must always match your website name. Your Discord/website name does not need to match your character name. It should never contain alt codes. If you feel the need to constantly make your Discord match your character, stop it. People will remember you, changing your name will only confuse them.
4. I have added the clan tag to my in game name.
On World of Warcraft and League of Legends, this is automatically added to your name when you join the guild/club. For Steam, you will need to manually add this to your name. On your friends list, click the arrow, and add the [WS] tag in front of your name without a space. Example, [WS]Tormeant. You will not be invited into the Steam group, given the Steam Icon, or be allowed to participate in Steam events until this is complete. Once in the group, you can easily add all of the clan members to your friends list! It is recommended to make your Steam name your website ID.
Rule of thumb, if you see several members wearing tags in a game, you should also add the tag into your name following the correct format. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you don't understand the format.
5. I have made an introduction post on the website
Head to the forums and introduce yourself! Along with spending some time on Discord, this is the best way to make yourself known to the other members.
6. I have added at least one clan officer to my friends list
This is so we can help you join our in game clans/guilds/groups.
7. I have completed my trial period for any teams I may be trialing for
If you are not joining a competative team, disregard this step. If you are looking to also join a team such as a mythic raid team, RBG team or ranked team, you will need to apply for them, then complete your trial period. Whether you are placed on the team or not, you may still become a full member of the clan. Your clan rank will never depend on your skill level.
Facebook We also maintain a Facebook group for fast communication and updates. It is a private group, so anyone who would like to join it will need to add an officer to their friends and ask to be invited into the group. We post a ton of awesome stuff here on a regular basis, anyone not in the group is really missing out!
Some advice for our new members These are reasons members have been banned for in the past. Learn from their mistakes to avoid meeting a similar fate: Hacking. Impersonating an officer. Performing any action to intentionally harm or grief allies in a game/raid. Removing clan tag or leaving one of our clans/guilds without an officer's permission. Harassing/threatening another clan member. Participating in an activity with another group during a clan event. Demanding a promotion. Re-posting deleted content that was deemed inappropriate.
